I have not seen her in the flesh. Prince Phillip was once competing in horse carriage show that we went to. And separately I saw his hand - out of the car window when he gave us the Royal Wave when visiting this town and driving past the office. Somebody hollered a big "Halloo" and we got the wave
As to what you feel normal? I think it is dropping the pretence at work and being able to drop a donation into a workmate's birthday collection and go for a celebratory lunch with them . Just fitting in with harmless little customs that bind people together in a common bond of humanity..
