When I was a teen I had like nothing to choose from, at least from the pop music scene. Girly boys were really in: David Cassidy, Leif Garret (the drug addict that just got arrested recently...actually, I think he looks much more interesting now), David's brother, Shawn (? sp), Donny Osmond, I can't remember who else. ::shivers::

    Young, leather-clad Elvis was gorgeous.

Below: Danny a virgin at 29: I squandered my youth for a cult! Well this is what a regular guy looks like, this is circa 1986 so 20 years ago i am now 49 with a colostomy bag thanks to Watchtower lies about the imminent new system and failure to manage my long term health care.I tell you the truth the best looking boys and girls were just the ones next door .

Thirty four female students in their early twenties rated the attractiveness of each face on a scale of 1 to 7. The final composite was made by proportionally mixing features of all 12 photos.

Note also that the selections were done before the images were composited together. They did not rate the final composite vis-a-vis the individual photos. That of course would have been a very basic test on the validity of the results.

I mention this because it is very well known that the mere procedure of multiple image compositing softens angular lines and individual blemishes, leading to an averaged more idealized form. This is where the "feminine" quality of the composite comes from. Not from the original input (which the women selected) but from the averaginng of the separate images together.
