This one Christian (non JW) and I are starting to get close. I was wondering... if I did marry a Christian (but a non JW)... would the church look down on me? <BR>
Also, the Christian guy knows I am studying with JWs and doesn't mind at all.

He probably doesn't mind because he likely has no clue what the JWs are about.
Here is a spot where you can learn about your beliefs: http://jwinfo.8m.com/jwinfo.htm
have you asked your bible study lady? maybe she'd like to meet him
Yes, the JWs would care, if you were a baptized JW. They would most likely put you on the "fringe" list, and you wouldn't be invited to group gatherings, not allowed to comment in the meetings, and generally made to feel like an outcast. Since you are *not* a baptized JW, they can't do anything to you as far as sanctions, but if you have been studying a long time and are on the fast track to becoming one of them, they will strongly discourage this relationship, make you feel guilty, and you will be looked upon differently in the Kingdom Hall. On another track: They MIGHT ask you to bring your potential mate to the Kingdom Hall and feel him out: to see if he's amenable to conversion. They're very sneaky.
Generally, when you are viewed as "weak".. the other Witnesses won't invite you to lunch, gatherings, anything socially, but they'll still be sweet to your face at the Kingdom Hall. With "friends" like this.. who needs enemies?

The fact that he's a Christian wouldn't be relevant. As far as JWs are concerned there are no other Christians, so he'd be looked down upon just the same as anyone else.
With all due respect, in view of your problems as expressed in previous postings I don't think that you should be making any major life decisions right now - whether to do with entering a religion or a marriage.
I also agree with what Joe said, at 17 you are too young to make major decisions in your life, you don't yet have the maturity and experience necessary for this and the JW org especially, I believe is a tricky place when you don't have JW parents. You are running ahead of your time.
Oh... NO NO.. I don't want to marry yet. 17 is far to early. All I want to know is how the JW will view it, if I am still studying with them.
