I just love this board because .... (page 2)

I was raised a witness and decided not to practice once I reached adulthood, just faded away. As did many of the kids I hung around with. I've had discussion with several of them recently and it seemed like we were all in this same boat...I used to say I was going to form my own religion and call us "The Lost Children of Jehovah's Witnesses". Because after leaving it was like having no where else to go. Just kind of stuck in a limbo where there are very few other people in this world who would even understand.

But here I have found a place where there are others just like me. And I've gotten a better education about the witnesses and religion in general than I ever got sitting in a kingdom hall.

Makes me feel like I belong and I'm not a Lost Child anymore.

Like another poster said, it gives me a sense of belonging to a group of people who know what I've been through. We are survivors.

I like the diversity of ideas the people have on the board. Plus I always find out information here--and there is always a good laugh in store for me.

Actually...all of the above and this,

..I'm proud to be small part in aiding people to exit the WTBTS of New York.

One time a poster said in a post that it was many things he heard me say that made him continue to look further into this religion and has now exited. That made my day....and many other days. I'll never forget that. It encouraged me to believe that the things we expose and discuss here have a great impact on people.

Bringing one out of the JW religion gives me more satisfaction than aiding a bible study to baptism did for me. At least now I know I truely help in leading people to REAL truth ( at least about the Jehovah's Witnesses).

This place also feels like the family feeling I had with Jehovah's Witnesses. They still feel like family to me in many ways....and that's ok by me.
