I swear quite a lot in real life but rarely on the board because I'm aware of the mix of people. I do kareoke, and had been singing some Frank Sinatra songs, but by the end of the night I was a bit tipsy and decided to sing the Sex Pistols version of "My Way".. I had forgotten how bad the swearing is in it including the "C" word. so I kinda stopped sining in places and swore in others. So, next time you want to swear just imagine you're in a room with a whole bunch from a club 18 - 30 holiday and another bunch from SAGA (Old peoples coach tours.)

I used the "C" word the other day, this kid I know was grinning from ear to ear because he was now a bright shiny new dad!I asked him if his "C" hurt. wiped that smile right off his face.

I do my fair share of swearing and I have on occasion sworn on this board. Especially when someone makes a deal out of it. Then I want to really swear. IMHO, I think the bigger deal you make of it, the more people do it. It is like saying "Don't touch that" all you want to do is touch it. You ask someone not to swear and the first reaction you get is someone swearing.
Also, I have noticed that since leaving the organization I swear more than I ever did. I think it is a sort of rebellion. And I think that there are far worse things for me to do.
Sorry if in the past my swearing has been offensive.
Another thing, can someone tell me what the "C" word is. I think I know but not for sure.

I must admit that I enjoy the occassional colorful metephor. After so many years of being a prissy dub its kind of nice to be able to loosen up. Some days are looser than others, however. Will be sure to watch that.

i agree with luna, to be honest at the end of the day swear words are just words, its not done that much here to be honest and when it is, its used in some good ways!
