Would a Father really destroy His children for disobeying and arrogance?

You know....The only example given of "the wisdom of Solomon" was the two women....

Do you think he would love us too much to kill us...instead just give us up so we would be spared...even if that would mean setting us free...giving us up to ourselves?

Is that what the "wisdom of Solomon" is? Just knowing how Much He loves and cares for us....His arrogant and disobedient children?

    Any thoughts?

By the way...was resurrection from the first death...an option on the table when Our forefathers ate from the tree?

a similar point is, do you require that your children regularly, daily, more than once a day, thank you for virtually everything you do for them?

Religion is ridiculous..............in my opinion. Sorry if that comment offends those in religions. It's just not for me, and doesn't make sense on any level. Again, it's just my opinion.

    mine too.

Deut 21 -- the jews were commanded to have their children murdered by the city elders if they

    could not be brainwashed...

of course there is no record of anyone being sick enough to carry this out....

but the results of laxity are also evident...just about all cultures eventually fall apart from being either too permissive or too demanding.

with the advent of monotheism, some notable improvements may be the lumping of all fears together into just the fear of God...which may have helped the human race quite a bit.... there were many tribes of people plagued by multple god fears and living deseperate lives trying to satisfy all of these different gods with their different tempermants and desires according the traditions and religion of the peoples involved.

with monotheism came pantheism, agnosticism and atheism.... without which much of our present world might still be in the dark ages

    In a word - No.
It does lead on to another concept though. If we still believe there is a God, do we then believe in universal salvation; the doctrine that eventually all will come to know God's love and be saved.

Not only that, but he will destroy you if you don't worship him. Sounds like a bit of a narcissist to me.

Don't forget that our father is using his children as pawns in his betting game besides making us suffer for something we never had anything to do with in the first place.

I hate to break it to you, but fathers are pretty well documented for killing their children for way less than disobedience.

This week in Miami a father threw his two sons off the balcony of Loews Hotel then jumped himself in order to spite his wife after marital disagreements.

Im not saying this is typical of fathers, but its not the first (or second, or third, oe even fourth) example I have heard of fathers killing all their children in order to spite their wife.

Very sad. If JW's are appauled by what this father did to his children as well as other families that have experienced this kind of violence (inc. mothers) Why can't they see that according to what they teach, God is going to do the equivalent of what this this father did, at armageddon?

God is apparently a sick Psycho path.
