Interesting that they didn't make it Babylonian-era: "Why Daniel underwent higher education and accepted a government job."
So where'd they get this story about Timothy? Is there an Acts of Timothy in the Bible?

Jgnat - are you serious?
My first reaction was to laugh as if it were a joke. Then I realized you probably weren't joking.
If true....well...wow. Impressive. (heavy sarcasm here)

Oh, it was definitely as jgnat said.
Timothy had a friend who went to the "University of Athens" so he could "take over his uncle's business" or some such folderol as that. He nearly "fell out of the truth", but later "came to his senses".
Items in quotes above are very nearly verbatim from the drama.

Did Timothy's friend wear a toga with "U of A" on the front of it?
All I can say again, is "Wow."
They're reaching. Or maybe they just don't care anymore if their stories are biblically or historically accurate. Too funny - and sad at the same time.

They made it up, whole cloth. It was one of the worst things I've ever seen come out of Brooklyn. Timothy rejected the idea of higher education and was used by Jehovah's Organization, traveling with Paul.

The real title was "Pursue Goals that Honor God". Here's a summary. Thanks Ithinkisee. I hardly ever see your pink bra around now that your wife is free.

I can’t believe they would go so far and make up a story that is in no way indicated in scriptures (not even their twisted NWT)! Let alone make it a drama at the DC.
As a child I loved and couldn’t wait for the dramas to start. Later I found them embarrassing and told my bible studies it was mainly for the children (knowing it wasn’t true). I know many still active JW who are uncomfortable with the dramas and whish they were left out. There was a short time we only had modern-day dramas, to the relieve of many, but I guess the OT dramas were popular and came back.
Maybe I’ll go to the next DC coming up, just to see how it will be like sitting there knowing what I know now.

Oh please, please let them break with tradition and make this a musical! Nothing like 45 minutes of lip synching and ridiculous overdone gesturing. Woops, almost had an independant thought there...
