actually this ticket thing is being made into more than it is. they use tickets for events like branch dedications where seating is limited and a certain number of people are invited based on some criteria. they usually give preference to long-time members in this situation as only makes sense. its simply a matter of an easy way to prevent way more people showing up than can be accomodated. it doesnt imply that theres anything top secret going on by any means. if it were something really important, i think they would include everyone, using the DC, CA, CO visit or a publication. the fact thats an arbitrarily chosen sampling tells me that its less likely to be of great import.

    "tickets"? for "Special Assemblies"?

I heard of tickets only for MS and Elders perhaps, but "tickets" for the general publishers
    as well?

Having to show a ticket to get into the assembly?

what is going on with the Watchtower? I thought they have been saying recently
that they are not a "Secret Society"!

This arrangement with tickets proves that they ARE a secret, closed society!

If someone can post these tickets, I believe we should make high quality scans awailable, and we could distribute them all over the net as "Special Price Of The Month".

I'll be happy to have the price on the first page of the Observer :))

It's just nonsense anyway, but it would piss off the Legal goons quite a lot. Just like they are paranoid about the Convention badges, they will be even more paranoid by these tickets.

Why not make a few hundred of them, and give them away to all alcoholics in the streets in the area, telling them there is free luxory dinners and free booze on the tickets? I bet the WT SS-guards would have a hard time in the door! LOL

I need more BOE letters, KMs and other material. Those who can send it to me - please do! The new section will be interesting!!

How cruel, Kent! They may find the "meat in due season" to be extremely unpalatable! LOL

    this is not an assembly

    "this is not an assembly"

    oh, you are right.
This is not an "assembly" or gathering open to the general
JW population, but rather it is a "meeting" which is a gathering
open only to those who hold special tickets.

I think JWs have their own definition of what the word
    "assembly" means.

    Kent,

    Yes! Do It! Do It!
Put up a scan of a Convention Badge!!

Everyone could make their very own badge!

Has anyone else heard that these tickets are kind of "movie stub" style, but instead of rectangles, they are purple triangles? They have a perforation along the two top edges? And they are to be worn on ones arm preferably?

The whole idea of having to obtain a ticket to go to a 'meeting' seems less than appropriate, especially after how many times we've heard how 'united' the organization is, and how all the congregations around the world study the same books and material at the same time and get the same WT articles at the same time.

Now, all of a sudden, that isn't the case anymore. Hmmmmm.....
