Here are a few snapshots(out of 550) of what we encountered while vacationing in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan last week. If you've never been there, it is definitely worth the trip to see - even for us LP Michiganders.
Kayaking in the Seney National Wildlife Refuge
A busy little beaver(s) - there were a bunch of them at work
Tahquamenon Falls (upper falls)
Pictured Rocks (you take a chartered boat out to see this spot)
Yes, the water is really that color
One of the many, many lighthouses on the coast of Michigan
Town of Copper Harbor viewed from above
Forget-Me-Nots in a meadow
Gull tracks on Lake Superior
Typical sunsets on Lake Superior? The water was very calm.
And something I never knew was possible - swans in the UP of Michigan at Seney NWR(always figured them for warmer climates)
