Only what the WTB&TS wanted me to know.

We were always told that listening to apostates was like taking in poison. Now that I am on the outside and learning FACTS about the society - I'm appalled, feel betrayed, and happy to be out.

What did you learn about the Watchtower Organization: i was TOLD it was a loving organization and a spiritual paradise... i LEARNED it was a greedy corporation who only cared about what numbers/ money i could produce..

What did you learn about the JW's : i was TOLD it was a loving fellowship of friends.......i LEARNED it was just company men / women who held back real love because of fear..and who only associated with people who's numbers / money production was "acceptable" to the org.

What did you learn about God in general and the Kingdom to come?: A piece of paper with your " TIME" on it was more important than if you had food / heat/ shelter .

"What did you learn about the Watchtower Organization" I learned there were some elders who loved the flock but not all. I learned what it's like to trust religious men with all my heart and be deeply hurt when that trust was betrayed. After I left I learned that the experience was not unique. Religious leaders fail, they lie and they pretend to be something they are not, they fail to love their brothers. Not all leaders to be sure but enough, enough. I learned that for many religious men the sweet aroma of success can overcome even the most humble heart and cloud even the sharpest mind. "What did you learn about the JW's" I learned that sincere loving people can and do rise above their elders but there is a price to pay. I learned there are many who love the GB, trust them and will do whatever is needed to protect them even betray a family member. But I also learned that there are still those in there who will not betray their brother, though of course their numbers are few.

"What did you learn about God in general and the Kingdom to come?" I learned that God is with those who love their brother no matter who he is and that the Kingdom is more than men giving orders in place of Jesus. No man takes the place of Jesus and no man gives orders in his place. I follow no man. IW

1. I learned that the Watchtower Organization is devoted to taking in as much money as possible in Charitable Donations™ and is miserly in the way it distributes those funds to the point where a hungry elderly JW who has spent their entire life doing the WTS's bidding would be put out to live in the streets and the WTS wouldn't lift a finger to help them.

2. I learned that you cannot trust a JW with a confidence. Ever.

3. They lied to me about god. I've since come to the conclusion that god does not exist, and life has been great once I figured that out.

I learned some good stuff... I was an obedient kid, and had really good parents. So how much was the JW thing and how much was good parenting is confused.

I read early and well, had absolutely no 'stage fright' (and still don't), I've never been arrested or had an STD....

But I learned about faith and a loving God many years later, elsewhere.

What did you learn about the Watchtower Organization? The Watchtower takes people on a guided tour through the Bible. They gain a lot of knowledge about the Old Testament and can quote a lot of Scriptures, but they never hear the Gospel of salvation in Christ. They never learn to depend on Jesus for their salvation and to look to Him personally as their Lord. Everything centers around the Watchtower Society and you have to come to Jehovah God through the organization. The Watchtower has convinced its followers into believing that accurate knowledge through them is essential for salvation. They decided what I needed to know and it did not include Jesus, associating with the UN for almost 10 years, you can have blood in bulgaria and we can't DF you, etc. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

What did you learn about the JW's? They are RIGHT and every one else is a pawn of Satan. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

It's very much like the Military, you follow orders and don't ask questions. They are harsh Task Masters. The GB tells people what to think not how to think, indepenant thinking and real expressions of our individuality are forbidden. They mis-use fear, guilt and self doubt to manipulate and control people. It is a gross abuse of our real and natural desire to please God and our concern for others. I've come to believe with their dream of Armageddeon passing in 1914 that since the death of Russell the Organization has been consistantly run by the Evil Slave down to this day and probably will be until the End. Matthew 24:48-51 and Luke 12: 45, 46

Except for the Zealots, they are generaly good people, sincere, well meaning with good intentions. They are also confused and mislead by those leading the WTS and their appointees.

God is not a trinity and has a name - Jehovah/Yahweh. Jesus is God's first creation. The Angelic rebellion is the source of all our troubles. The Great Tribulation and Armageddon are literal and coming. God will use the worlds governments to destroy world religion. The Thousand Year reign is real. The Resurrection (heavenly or earthly) is the only hope for the dead. The Little Flock will become a literal Heavenly Government. Satan and his Demons have a finite time to exist and will be terminated.

What did you learn about the Watchtower Organization I'm not sure yet; I'm still learning. But it seems like a lot of times they use Jehovah's name where it should say WTS.

What did you learn about the JW's Nearly every single one just wants to have fun and love life and the people in it, and most of the time if you aren't an overbearing asshole, you can draw out that funloving, interesting person inside.

What did you learn about God in general and the Kingdom to come? Geez. Read The Bible Teach book. That's what I've learned. A better question might be, 'how do I feel about it'... but I doubt I could answer that either right now.
