Everytime, I watch the movie "A Time to Kill", I cry. That movie gives me chill bumps! That's one of the reasons why I love *************(Dang! Its hard to get this program not to break the man's name apart! Verboten!) Samuel L. Jackson so much. That man can act his arse off! Matthew McConahey (sp?) as the lawyer was brilliant! His summation in the movie gets me everytime!

Samuel L. Jackson (My man!) Samuel L. Jackson

    Matthew McConaughey (correct spelling)

    • any movie where babies are welcomed into the world
    • any movie where children are reunited with their family - regardless of the reason for the separation or the amount of time
    • any movie where siblings are reunited - The Color Purple - the ending gets me every time

    Notice a theme here?

It's terrible. I have to have the kleenex box beside me when I watch these things.

Zeroday, "Forrest Gump" made me cry, too. I can't believe that woman had the nerve to die! How could she?!

You know that I have never seen "Dances with Wolves"?

Get the Directors Cut DVD and a large box of Kleenex.

The first time I saw Forest Gump I cried. I just watched it again recently, without tears. I can't think of anything I've cried at lately. But some typical triggers: when children are born or are hurt or when they leave home. Sometimes I cry at depictions of the elderly.

    Scent of a Woman:

    Scene

    After Colonel Frank Slade is leaving the Thanksgiving dinner of his brother and family. Having made a spectacle and being derided by one of his nephews. His statement to his brother upon leaving;

" I'm no fucking good, and I never have been "

    Scene

During his seeking out of final pleasures, his partner and guide suggest that they go for a ride. Colonel Slade is blind but has a love for not only women, but fine motor cars as well. He's taken for a ride in a Ferrari, driven by Chris O'Donnell, who plays his guide. Frank Slade, who Al Pacino plays, convinces his guide to allow him to drive the Ferrari.

Although being blind, he takes him down back streets of New York City, that are free of traffic or people. To see him get a feel for something he so desires is hilarious as well as touchingly brutal in the same space. I laugh and cry all at the same time like clockwork.

Chris O'Donnell does everything in his power to prevent him from wanting to execute his plans of committing suicide.

An excellent movie for guys and dolls, and particularly good for father and son sharing.
