We are quitting when we return, so you'll get to witness the withdraw.

P.S. If were not doing to good, we'll take you up on your offer of chains.

Holy crap! I've heard that some people become quite temperamental when in withdrawal I wonder if they'll let me bring chains and pad locks on the flight!

*** Talking to the airport security guard ***

Me: Well sir, I'm bringing the chains in case I need to lock up the people who are hosting me in NY.

Guard: [Makes the sound of an adult talking in a Peanuts cartoon]

Me: No sir, we're not "in to" that sort of thing. I don't think you understand, they don't *want* me to chain them up, it's just they are quitting smoking and may be temperamental.

Brutus is that guy, in your avatar; on his knees on the floor, with his head on the floor, and his butt up?

As for cravings, 4mg nicotine gum for the first 4 to 6 weeks. The 4mg stuff will stifle even a strong nicotine craving. Then switch to 2mg. The 4mg stuff keeps you hooked if you don't make the switch to 2mg. The rest is psychological and a will to quit. The nicotine gum gets you through the physical withdrawl.

I'd also recommend a cross and some garlic......I've witnessed someone going through nicotine withdrawl; it wasn't a pretty sight. Plus she had PMS badly............in my opinion, it is impossible to get a worse combination........you better bright a wooden stake too. Jes in case.

I quit smoking in February using the patch, Zyban, and some herbal stuff (I forget the name). I also changed my routine so I could avoid situations where I would usually smoke.

Smoking is expensive here, and was costing me around $300 a month. Now I feel better, cough less, have a cleaner house and car, and have more money.

I never was a smoker, never tried it so I can't help you but if you do give it up you will not be paying money to undermine your health.
