I would have liked to be a Forensic Scientist. But I could only afford to go to 2 years of college.

Now I work as a Designer/Lead engineer. I design high end retail store interiors. (Tommy Hilifiger, Caoch, Tiffany's, Bloomingdales, Pottery Barn.. etc.)

In my younger years I wanted to be a fish and game warden, forest ranger and airline pilot.

But life and nice money took me into the steel mills of Pittsburgh. Retired a few years ago after being a journeyman machinist and mechanical repairman. I now work part time delivering auto parts. During many periods of lay-off over a 30 some year period I sold Kirby Vacuum Cleaners, sold furniture and appliances, was an Orkin man and also was termite inspector for another local company. Cleaned really nasty toilets and did floor cleaning as a janitor for K-mart and the defunct Gold Circle department stores. Did concrete work and brick and block laying along with mixing mortar and carrying hod. Did a lot of drywall work and steel stud installation. About 5 years before I retired, I was the expeditor and job planner and buyer for the department I worked in at United States Steel in a Pittsburgh suburb. I'm sure I forgot a few but the bottom line is......................I was a jack of all trades and master of none........except the one I had papers for.....'Journeyman Machinist."

I wanted to be a meterologist, but I suck at math.

So now I am a lowly government work. The pay and benefits are great.

1st-I would like to be a professional basketball player. I was pretty good. My parents would not let me play in high school. I could have majored in marketing, buty my folks did not think it was a good choice. Oh well. I should not let them make decisions for me.

2-Currently house caretaker til July 1st, must find another one soon! I also teach America Sign Language part time for extra income. I am willing to relocate anywhere in the USA if the offer is about right for me.

Well, by early 1978 my non-JW father-in-law convinced me to consider college, and so I embarked on a college career. I enrolled in a local community college and did well. Then I transferred to MIT and did well there, and got a Bachelors Degree in electrical engineering. After that I got a decent job and continued my education and got a Masters Degree in electrical engineering from Oregon State University. I took further courses toward a Ph.D. but various circumstances worked against it and my official academic career stalled. Today I design microchips for an international microchip company, and the stuff I design finds its way into everything from cellphones to video games to hard drives.
