    What are you on?

    Linda and Vitti:

E-mails are accepted by the Charity Commission so if one is writing save yourself some paper!

Watchtower is considered a charity because it purports to be helping people by evangelising. It submitted to the Charity Commission that it does this without charge and that its members give freely of their time. It did not mention all the hurt it caused, some of which I mentioned earlier. If enough people supplied the Charity Commission with information that can be substantiated regarding child abuse, shunnings, family breakdowns, children dying through lack of blood (i.e. the hypocrisy of its blood policy), real estate value, etc., then this type of information would prove deadly. However, I cannot emphasise enough that it needs a number of people to complain. The Charity Commission takes each complaint seriously and a solicitor sits on the panel. Ian

Am I being naive, or do all REAL charites (Red Cross, etc) make VAST profits and invest in things (eg, property) that no REAL needy will benefit from?

If anyone is going to E-mail the charities commission, it would be worth remembering , not to sound bitter or that you have an axe to grind, for them to take you seriously. I thought I would say that as someone who has been in the religion for over 20 years, now realizes how little this religion really contributes as a charity. That I can never reveal how I feel or my family and friends would be forced to shun me. That I cannot leave the religion, without the consequences of lost family. Or something along those lines, do you think they would take it seriously or think I was a nutter ?

Well I am a little nuts but you know what I mean

Child Molestation - not new you say - well if it keeps happening once every year it will be like a dripping faucet. It will get them eventually and Bill Bowen and Barbara Anderson will be thoroughly vindicated and children will suffer less
