I'm sulkin' 'cause my downloads at emusic.com don't refresh until TOMORROW, so I'm champing at the bit to download ...
Oh, meanwhile I'm listening to Zap Mama's "Adventures in Afropea (Vol. 1), another Nati Cano album, Eddy Navia, and whatever great noise my husband chooses to make today.

- Frank London's "Brotherhood of Brass" featuring the Boban Marcovics Orkestar and a bunch of other brilliant people I've never heard before
- Mojo Buford's "Champagne & Reefer" and "State Of The Blues Harp"
- and some albums by Toumani Diabaté - he plays kora, which sounds like jazz koto to me
- and "Viva el Mariachi!" by Nati Cano's Mariachi Los Camperos - traditional tunes you've never heard of, with creamy Hollywood violins, a bright, tight horn section and never a sour note.

I'm moved up in the world! I got XM radio (satellite radio). I keep it on "Suite 62". This stations play a variety of R&B. Right now, I'm in love with a song called "Character" by Van Hunt, so I did download and record it, so I can play it whenever...
