Describe yourself as a tree.

I think I would be a bit of a Scruff Pine.

I hold my place well, weather the storms with deep roots. I am not as stately as some of my brethren trees. I don't make the cover of "Tree Monthly". I am largely overlooked and mostly unnoticed in life. But I refuse to give up my craggy positions to those who want to uproot my thinking by attacking rather than reason. I tolerate all the seasons well - and remain a cheerful little pine even in the dead of winter, while trees of greater stature are naked in the wind.

Well Jeff.....I'd have to describe myself as the mighty oak tree. After the grief my supposed JW family puts me through each year.... They phone me for advice with all their problems, rarely take it, never thank me,never visit, then turn around and tell me I need to come back to the organization, because I'm going to die at armageddon.

I'm more happier than they are, and they're still "in the truth", with their drinking problems and family woes, and their" I'm not good enough for Jehovah", boo-hoo's.

Yup, I'm the mighty oak.....can't wait till the fall, when I can drop my leaves and hibernate for the winter.....

    Nice

    I'm an oak tree.

I have existed for quite some time. My roots go deep. My leaves are a deep shiny green. I love sun, air and water, and the moist earth. I change with each season, but even in winter I'm still beautiful. I feed others (with my acorns....and did you know that the dutch word for squirrel is acorn? )

    I love oak trees.

Opine myself as a tree? Oakay, let's spruce things up, and leave nothing out. Grew in a small town, but I'm a concedar that I'm no red-necked hickory. Didn't like my roots - enough to make yew soil yourself - so as soon as I could, I packed my trunk and grafted onto the urban jungle. Felt like a sap believing JW lies, so confronted the elders with sweaty palms; they couldn't see the forest for the trees, and barked that I'd planted seeds of apostasy. Didn't give a fig about their response, so with no common ground, I took a bough, plum uprooted myself and branched out.

Wasn't that Barbara Walters' most infamous question? The sign that the interview was running out of steam, and she needed something to fill up the rest of the time?

"If you wewe a twee...what kind of twee would you be?"

    1. My bark is worse than my bite.

2.I like to take a bough.

3.I frequently branch out into other venues.

4.I often go out on a limb.

5.I root for others to succeed.

    6.Sometimes I'm a sap

Now I think it is time to leaf. Oak-ay?

I better go spruce up or I'll just pine away.
