As a JW did you ever think Jah "performed miracles" because you were one?

My apartment "should have" gone up in flames like my next door neighbour's apartment did, but it didn't.

I didn't change my travel plans when a perfect stranger approached me at the airport and invited me to run away with him to an exotic island.

I thought I could see the "demon" that the drunk on the street corner told us was watching my Service Partner™ and me while we were doing Street Witnessing™.

I went to the District Convention™ thinking I was going to be single forever (and was actually ok with the idea) and met Mr Scully.

On a camping trip with some of The Friends™, someone forgot to pack some of the food and we were short. Like complete idiots, the Brother™ who decided to Take the Lead™ prayed out loud for Jehovah to provide for us as we all sat around our camp fire... it felt like everyone around us was staring. When we went swimming in the lake, I stepped on something in the sand..... it was a clam..... and we grabbed some buckets and filled the buckets with fresh clams and had them for dinner. The next morning, I got up early for a walk along the beach and a swim, and found a huge patch of wild raspberry bushes and picked enough berries to have with the pancakes that the wannabe Elderette [who was the one who "forgot" to pack some of the food in the first place] was making. She was livid and visibly jealous because the Brother™ who was Taking the Lead™ went on about how wonderful the freshly picked raspberries were and how the clam bed I'd found the day before was such a Blessing™. There were... clams... in... a lake??!!! That's amazing!! And wild raspberries... just growing... wild???

Obviously the clams and berries weren't there until the Brother™ prayed for them.

What a miracle! Praise the DROL.

There have been several times in my life that I felt that God or someone helped me. I see no reason to doubt that now. I never felt I was totally special as a jws, at least not after I became an adult. I believed that God answered prayers of all who approached him. However, I could not undestand why some prayers were not answered. I still do not.

I actually had an elder tell me that if there were Guardian angels , I had one.

That is the one thing I miss about being one of jws. Not their stupid judgment system, but that strong feeling that God was with me. I'm more realistic now, I know God can be with me, but more or less don't expect it anymore. Then I actually expected angelic guidance.
