    Hmmm... interesting idea. I know that Lucas did discuss myth with Joseph Campbell and used him as a resource when designing the original Star Wars story. In mystical circles (not necessarily orthodox Hebrew), the Yod basically symbolises the creative energy of the universe, or more directly, sperm.

    Note where this lines up if you align the tetragrammaton this way (hint, the Yod is at the top):
