Being a witness and going to college is an extremely hard thing to do.

yeah, the time constraints of a college workload really show you how much time being a JW takes. and, sadly many do wake later...

Lets just say that the state I came from was free compared to California. If you are born and raised in California, it is much harder for you to see certain things. But when you are raised elsewhere, and then get dropped in all at once, it can be a shock.
California does have a lot of restrictive laws, but seeing as how it is the most populous State in the Union, I can see why. The simple fact is, the more people live in a region, the more laws there must be to manage and protect the relative freedoms of the whole of society. The lesser populous states have the least regulations and taxes because there are less people placing a burden on the common goods of infrastructure.

Isn't that the truth. There are a few advantages to living in this socialist paradise.

Well, I haven't lived in other states so I'll take your word for describing Cali as a "socialist paradise"...
I will say this though, there is a young sister who openly talked of going to UC Berkeley. I hope it's still her goal and she isn't sucked into "pioneering out of High School." -

Congrats! I graduated in May with a BA in English. I completed the certificate program in editing and publishing. I plan on editing my own writing and submitting it for publication. I'm sure I could do some freelance editing or apply at a local magazine or two.
It was great fun going to school and I will miss it. All the witnoids were shocked I went and still dont know how to handle it. The fact that I dont go to meetings doesn't make it any easier for them. Evil university took me out of the truth as far as they are concerned.

California does have a lot of restrictive laws, but seeing as how it is the most populous State in the Union, I can see why.
Why?
Why should California be any different than any other state? Why should I have to pay ten times more in auto registration fees? Why should I have to (or at least supposed to) register my guns? Why should a whole lot of the stuff that I own that was legal in another state, be illegal here? - including some kids TOYS! This is a HEAVILY regulated state. I guess there are those that either like this, or just don't know any better.
And there are other states that have population centers just as dense as can be found in KA. Take Miami for instance. And Florida is one of the few "free" states left.
And the only reason you "can see why" is that you were probably born and brainwashed here.
The lesser populous states have the least regulations and taxes because there are less people placing a burden on the common goods of infrastructure.
Isn't that a way of saying that Kalifonia has more people on welfare than most? Yup, why work when you can get free money from the government. -

Why should California be any different than any other state?
Because there are more people living in California than any other state.
Why should I have to pay ten times more in auto registration fees?
Your auto registration fees are what pays for the state highway system. Which costs a lot of money to build and maintain so you can drive your Chevy Tahoe anywhere you want.
Why should I have to (or at least supposed to) register my guns?
Fuck if I know.
This is a HEAVILY regulated state. I guess there are those that either like this, or just don't know any better.
I've lived in five different states. I know better, and California is the best god damned state in the union. If it wasn't for California's economy leading the pack the rest of the union would not be nearly as strong. Besides economics, its by far the most beautiful state and has more diversity and variety of natural resources than anywhere else in North America.
And there are other states that have population centers just as dense as can be found in KA. Take Miami for instance. And Florida is one of the few "free" states left.
I lived in Florida, and what you call "free" to me is shit. WIth all due respect, it's a shit state and if you love it so much than please move back there and join your kind. I'm sure there are plenty of swamp-dwellers with unregistered guns to make you feel welcome. However, I must warn you, environmental regulation has a long history there (research Lake Okeechobee) and the sprawling suburban developments that currently provide many jobs there is soon coming to an end.
And the only reason you "can see why" is that you were probably born and brainwashed here.
No, I was not born here. I was "brainwashed" in what you would probably call one of the "last free states" which I cannot mention here due to privacy.Isn't that a way of saying that Kalifonia has more people on welfare than most? Yup, why work when you can get free money from the government.
It would be no surprise that there would be more people here on welfare since there are more poeple living here than any other state. Wow, how perceptive of you. God damn dude, you bring so many issues to the table you need to take a step back and reassess why you are so angry with the world. I'm not trying to sound condescending here (as I am above - my sarcastic fun), but I think you need realize that maybe you don't have everything in the world figured out. The reason I got on you for saying "Kalifornia" was a "socialist paradise" is because its absolutely absurd. You're going to actually compare one of the greatest states in the union to an authoritarian rulership? And don't think you have me all figured out, Justice. You can't classify people so easliy when you get out into the world and learn about real people's motivations and problems and challenges. There are a lot of different kinds of people in California, as it should be. You have the materialistic, plastic-faced southerners, the aged and dissilusioned hippies in the north, the rednecks out in the flatlands, the surfers on the coast, the reclusive gun-toters up in the hills, the Mexicans everywhere, and all intersperced a bunch of middle-class Whites. Maybe what you need to get used to out here is a diversity of people, opinions, ways of life, and values. Don't make the stupid mistake of thinking your way of life and values are the only legitimate and honorable ones.
