Do you think that the JW's really care if they bring people to the Org.

There were a group of Pioneers in our hall that had many bible studies each. It was a group of about 5 women pioneers. One of them I had studied with. At first glance I thought they were very zealous for Jehovah and was very proud of there efforts. But after awile I saw another side. It was a compatition between them. That was all they talked about was,"How many return visits did you make." "How many bible studies did you conduct this week....only two, oh that's to bad. I have four!" It made me sick. Then they all cornered me one day and asked about my service and I had to tell the truth. "Do to my sickness and being unable to drive. I did not go out." They tore me apart. Finally I had had enough and put them in there place. "How dare you put me down for my lack of service. I would have gone out if I was able. And what business is it of yours. Arent you suppose to keep this between you and God. But you are making it a compatition. For what! To gain browny points in the new system. It doesn't matter."

They really had nothin to say, after that and soon after that I was not invited in there circle ever again. This makes me mad just thinking about it.

Although I preached door to door I didn't want to screw up people's lives if they listened to me and accepted a bible study.

I found this statement very interesting. After I left the witness it dawned on me that there were people I never wanted to become witnesses because I liked them too much the way they were. I think deep down inside I knew the changes they would make to become acceptable to "Jehovah" would make them less happy and more robotic. I guess I never let that thought surface till after I was out but I found it quite shocking when it did surface..

That was the same in the 2 congregations I went to. At first I was in awe of these sisters who had 6 bible studies each. Until I went with them. What a nonesense, they had been studying with these ppl for YEARS, it was obvious they just enjoyed cups of tea, chitchatting for an hour then the next hour covering 2 or 3 paragraphs !!!!!!!!!!

So 1 bible study could take anything up to 2 hours or more. No production, but no one cared. I new one sister who had been studying with a woman for 6 years.

Until we were told to stop a study after 6 months if they wernt comming to the meeting, that shook them up. Till the WT tower realized it shook their figures up too and backtracked

One pioneer sister said she wanted to give up pioneering but then said "what will I do with myself all day, Ill only end up doing housework!"

Whenever I would go door to door, after I would place magazines I would accidently lose the paper that my return visits were on. I'm surprised have a year of Regular Auxiliary pioneering that noone noticed that I only had one bible study and that was with my cousin, lol.

If the JW's really cared about those who became inactive, wouldn't they go visit them when they have free time, not just in the field service or once a year when they are told to do so?

I use to notice this about Witnessing too. If JWs care, why do pioneers go on RVs midweek 5 to a car when no one is home?

Although I preached door to door I didn't want to screw up people's lives if they listened to me and accepted a bible study.

Even when i was a true believer i always had this fear in the back of my mind.

It's been over 30 years since I've been to a door preaching the "Good News". About all I can remember about it is I didn't really like going out d to d. I was going because it was expected of me by my family and congregation. I was always glad when the time was up and we could go home. We always set a time to quit and when it arrived we went home.

I would say most are unconcerned about bringing new ones into the org. Those that are concerned, are primarily concerned out of fear of bloodguilt, or other selfish reasons. NOT love for neighbor.

my opinion of 99% of those in the USA,

    don't give a rats ass
I must also say that those that do care usually are those that are new to being JWs. They come in, get all excited and want to accomplish all this stuff only to be confronted with a congregation full of people who could care less. That was my expierance and i have met MANY who have gone through the same thing (on this board and in the org).

I cared when I was first a jw, and especially when I was a pioneer. I really wanted to share the message with people, and get them into the org, and I succeeded with a few. The last year or so, I was going in the fs less and less, and didn't really care whether anyone listened or not.

In Luke chapter 10:v 7 Jesus told them not go house to house. NWT Do not be transferring from house to house. The whole chapter is about preaching the word. I wonder why Jesus words not in red like other Bibles.
