I was on h20. When there was a relaunch most of the posters disappeared. I was looking where they popped up again. It was here.

I had a 4th grade student ask me if she could pass out some literature to her classmates. When I looked at them and saw they were from the JWs I said she'd have to do that outside of the school grounds. Then I wondered what would compel someone so young to do such a thing. When I did a search on the net this was the first site I came across and I got hooked on the interesting and sometimes outrageous stories that were here. It was almost like driving past a bad car wreck on the highway - you can help but slow down and take a look. I found a lot of cool people here that I would welcome as friends had I met them in real life, and that's why I stay.

Honesty

I 'GOOGLED' Jehovah's Witnesses about two months after I Da'd from the jw's.

After 3 hours of reading the posts in BEST OF I knew my decision to sever ties with the Watchtower Society and its religious group known as jehovah's witnesses was the only smart move I had made in almost 20 years.

I was reading some things about Scientology and suddenly realized they used alot of cult tactics the witnesses use, so I googled Jehovahs Witnesses and this site was the first to come up.

one day in middle school, being to lazy to properly study for the meeting, I searched online for one of those bad sites that lets you download the entire year's worth of study crap. Well, I didn't find it, but I did find freeminds.

I read through it, and just disregarded what I had seen.

Then, year's later, I was about to be hauled in front of a JC for my activities online. I wanted to find a copy of the elder's book, or at least some tips for dealing with a JC, so I googled JWs again, and thats when I found the board. I joined immediately and haven't looked back really since.
