  I've just watched the UK's Remembrance Service on TV.

  After the 3 minute silence, 4,000 people entered Saint Pauls Cathedral in London, between 15,000 and 30,000 listened outside via a sound system. The organist gave a fine rendition of the Star Spangled Banner which was sung lustily by everyone including Queen Liz. The Archbishop of Canterbury gave an uplifting sermon, this was followed by the American Battle Hymn and our own National Anthem.

  Prior to this, Prime Minister Tony Blair again pledged the United Kingdom to assist the USA wherever necessary.
