I'm moving tomorrow, it's incredibly hot here in Seattle (and it's never hot, so who needs a/c? except uh, for now!). I'm melting, and up late getting ready to move. Tell me a story, what did you do today, post something random, call me and talk at me if you want...

Packing Tips...
- Keep the following supplies handy for packing: Boxes, marking pen, bubble wrap, newspaper and tissue
- Tape and scissors
- Tape measure
- Use strong boxes and containers that can be secured tightly. Purchase special boxes for dishes, wardrobe and other special items.
- Pack audio-video equipment in their original boxes. Label cables and tighten transit screws. If removing screws, tape them to the objects they are removed from.
- Avoid loading more than 50 pounds into one box.
- Label each box and indicate the following: (a) Which room it should go in (b) Whether it is fragile (c) If it should be loaded last so it will be unloaded first.
- Cushion contents with packing material such as bubble wrap, newspaper or tissue. Save room by using towels and blankets to wrap fragile items.
- Pack books tightly on end in small boxes. If musty smelling, sprinkle talcum powder between the pages and wrap the book before packing. Leave stored for a couple of months to eliminate the smell.
- Have rugs and draperies cleaned before moving and leave them in wrappings for the move.
- Pack medicines in a leakproof container.
- Carry all valuables with you.
- Check with your local U.S. Department of Agriculture for regulations regarding moving plants from one state to another. Many states have restrictions on certain plants to prevent importing bugs or pests that can destroy valuable cash crops.

what-a-c - I think that's the packing list for people who have no life other than packing! My packing has consisted of stopping by the local grocery store/liquor store every couple of nights, scoring apple boxes and enough vodka boxes that my new landlord is going to be really worried, and then randomly throwing things in the boxes. Well, actually a few weeks ago there was some sense of order. Tonight it's dishes mixed with Theraflu and I think I threw a pair of scissors and some rice in one box. Hmm, maybe the scissors and bag of rice were a bad mix.

open fire glass - Pot makes me depressed. The handful of times I've tried it I've kind of wanted to die the next day. I don't think that's the desired effect, right? Cause that would result in there not being anymore pot smokers after a short while.

... or maybe you need to try cannabis instead... pot is that dirty stuff they smuggle from mexico in the bottoms of livestock trailers.... I don't smoke pot, I smoke cannabis..
