Shows like Judge Judy are cleened up versions of crap TV of the Jerry Springer/Maury Povich ilk. They seem like an outlet for humiliation. Not my cup of tea. I prefer to watch The History Channel or TV Food Network. Much more interesting & entertaining for me.

I advised a friend being sued by his ex wife to go on the show! (long story but he got Died for marrying her as she wasn't a witness then about a week after they got married she got an annulment and I've made him into an apostate since he's been out!) Anyway I knew she didn't have a legal leg to stand on but the stress of the law suit was bothering him so I said "hey your a good looking couple and she's crazy you never know what she'll do so you two should go on the show!" He contacted judge Judy but because of the type of case it was she said no dice try judge Alan so he did and went on the show in Houston and said it was a ton of fun! He won, his Ex screamed abuse at the judge, it was a hoot! (show should be airing in September or October!)
Ya I can see how the money and free trip might be a draw. Oh I forgot I have at least 2 or 4 family members who have been on Judge Judy (and they're jws!!) and I missed both shows. Heard about it from my parents.

The way I see it, is:
Better a Judge Judy, than a Judge Nancy Grace.

When I hear these Judges talk down to these people and then get all upset if they are talked down to and insist on being address respectfully as "Your Honor" That's when I would really like to see some one with enough intelligence put them squarely in there place.\ One of my favorite things to do would be to tell a judge to go "F#ck him or herself" insuch away on public tv that they lose it and respond in such a way that they lose thier ratings and are forced off the air in humiliation.

I like Judge Judy, I got hooked on her when I was 13 and I still watch her now thanks to my Time Warner DVR. Yay!

Man is'nt that the truth but in all reality I can't stand either one of them. Judy hates men and Grace thinks she Gods gift to the court room.
