I bought this thing at a garage sale a couple of weekends ago for fifty cents. All I had to do was replace the batteries and it works fine!
It's a TRS-80 Pocket Computer (Model PC-3) that you can program in BASIC. The thing is 23 years old! You can save programs on cassettes (or in my case, burn them onto CDs!) It has a whopping 4K of ram, but the user only gets about 1.2K to play with. That's not a whole heck of a lot, but I was able to program in a nifty little blackjack game, and I'm currently working on a slot machine game. Another pain is typing on the tiny little keyboard.
Also, I think the printer takes thermal paper, and I have no clue where to get that, but I didn't buy it for the printer.
I always wanted one of these things, and I'm so happy that I found one for fifty cents! Lotsa fun!
