HELP! My JW kids have been invited to visit the Brooklyn Bethel....during the Grand Wazzooo Annual Meeting this Oct. I am a DF'd Dad living away from them for almost a year now...hardly any contact with them. What can I do to prepare them and help them see the light? Any suggestions????

Tough one. I tend to the point of view that you can't persuade, cajole, or otherwise influence anyone to not believe something they want to believe. If you still have any contact at all, I think the best you can do is reassure your children that you love them and will always be there for them WHATEVER they believe. You could push them further away by criticising their beliefs.
Good luck.

Visiting WT-HQ can be persuasive or an eye-opening. If they already are involved with the JW life and follow it, the HQ visit will not make much difference. Try to keep the communication open with them and never loose contact if possible.
All the best

Get them to ask to see 85 Jay street car lot. Get them to ask what is going to be built there. After they are told about the multi-million dollar accommodation complex, get them to ask 'why are you building this if the end is so close?"

They will be treated to a very nice tour and see the Icing On The Cake with all the jimmy's and decorations. But what the tour guide won't show them that under this delicious, beckoning treat is the stale, age old cake with the stinking mold that will poison them and can actually kill them.
Hope you family can see through the fog!
