Come see American playwright Keith Reddin's black comedy "Brutality of
Fact." Directed by Stephanie Yankwitt.
"Brutality of Fact" is a black comedy about a family tree that is gradually
rotting away. It presents the trials and tribulations of modern day family
life. In the "Brutality" brood, we have Maggie, a recovering alcoholic, and
her sister Jackie, who becomes a Jehovah's Witness. All the while, Val, the
daughters' elderly mother is unwittingly enlisted in Jackie's religious
crusade. To further complicate matters, Jackie gets involved in a custody
battle with her ex-husband. Question: is (holy) water thicker than a
'Bloody Mary'?
The cast of "Brutality of Fact" includes: Amy da Luz, Donna Robinson, Joy
Franz (Broadway's "Pippin" and original Cinderella's Stepmother in "Into the
Woods"), Melissa Ross, Marshall Correro, Bronwen Coleman, D.H. Johnson, and
9 year-old Paris Yates.

________Hello Randy,
with, Keith Reddin's "Brutality of Fact." It is about a family that has to
deal with one of the family members becoming a Jehovah's Witness. It is a
dark comedy, but it treats the subject with great importance and
sensitivity. Basically, we feel this performance can help people deal with
serious subjects, in a gentle, easy to take way.

Lori and I will be in the city Tues-Thurs, Aug. 22-24. We had planned on heading out later on Thursday, and only have hotel reservations for Tues and Wed nights.
The play runs on Thurs-Saturday nights.
If someone wanted to go on Thursday night, Aug.24, and had a spare room where we could sleep that night, we'd be glad to go with you.
PM us if that works for anyone. Can't really afford another night at a hotel, though we did get a good deal at $109 a night where we're staying.
