    Where else would they...
Get a free haircut? Pay no rent? Travel for free? Free medical coverage? Free dental? Free chiropractic? Free shoe repair? Free alterations? Free dry cleaning? Free laundry service? Free meals? No electric bills? No gas bills? No car insurance? etc.

Why would I try to abolish/change anything that would affect my lifestyle?

They are so anal about meetings and field service, because without these, they would not be able to live the lifestyle they are living. Thus, why change anything??? Meetings meetings meetings, preach preach preach, mo $ mo $ mo $

Anyone else with me on this? Thoughts?

Your conscience, maybe? However, who there has one? In other words if you had a conscience, would you or would you not take the free ride to hell?

Much like having a sugar daddy/pimp if you ask me.

    TRUE...TRUE....TRUE !!!!!!!!!!!!!

BUT....THEIR END IS NEAR, LIVING IN THEIR IVORY TOWER !

With all their law suits now before them, they will be crashing down like the Catholic church, and selling off their property to pay for all their injustice.

Let me get my head wrapped around this WAC:

You're saying that the WTS hierarchy would dispense untruths, decieve, manipulate and demand unwavering worship from the flock in order to protect and perpetuate their own easy, high-living, power structure lifestyle at the expense of their constituency's individual freedom of choice in the domains of education, employment, marriage, recreation, health care, dress, and sex?

    Is that what you're saying?

Does anybody actually believe that Jaracz and his boys personally go door to door and sell the magazines like they expect the R & F to do?

When was the last time you heard that one of the Governing Body took a month off to "vacation pioneer"?

No. But I like the way you put it bee.

They have convinced themselves that they are doing the right thing just like many of us who were followers of the JW dogma.

    1) I was in Bethel for many years. Did I want to see the collapse of the WT? Would I look into my faith for faults? No way! I would have too much to lose! That is the same thinking of the ones have been longer in Bethel, especially the GB.

    2) Without the "contributions" from you guys, I would not have a nice Manhattan skyline view from my room. I would not have all the benefits that I already mentioned. Like I said, I would have too much to lose by examining my faith. Funny thing is that once I lost this "privilege", I said, what the hell, what do I have to loose know? Let me look into my religion.
Unconsciously, the GB pounces on meetings and preaching because that is their main channel of money and the only way to support their lifestyle. It supported mine.

Perhaps not consciously, but like many long time serving dubs they have far too much invested in this movement and the ideas to allow themselves to think seriously about the issue. it is a much easier option to tell yourself that only the weak have doubts and that it must of course be right - so just carry on doing "Gods will"

I think you left off one perk that is one of the most important motivators for GB members - That is the celebrity status they enjoy among their peers. Getting their asses kissed by the JW proletariat, those star struck elders, CO's and DO's who look at you with expressions of awe on their faces. Having every word you utter in these encounters be cherished and treasured and repeated for years to come.

To some degree, I think this weakness for authority effects a lot of JW males all the way down to a lowly MS. But of course, rank and file Elders don't have the power of life and death that a GB member does.
