I just saw it last week; I like it a lot, thought it much more coherent than the Wachowski's last 2 Matrix movies. That said, it made me a little queasy to see bombing buildings being cast in a heroic light. The Matrix made me think a LOT about the WT; I took the right pill when I started visiting this board. P

Just saw it tonight. Amazing movie, me and Spice both loved it! It's interesting that they chose John Hurt in the Chancellor role - he was the hero in the movie 1984 but quite the opposite in V for Vendetta.

Havnt seen it but want to. Interesting that it is by the Wachowski brothers who also did the matrix. The Matrix parallelled very closely to the closed mind state of Watchtower followers.
This is one of the classic lines:
Neo : What truth? Morpheus : That you are a slave, Neo. Like everyone else, you were born into bondage, born inside a prison that you cannot smell, taste, or touch. A prison for your mind. (long pause, sighs) Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Matrix is. You have to see it for yourself. This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back.
(In his left hand, Morpheus shows a blue pill.) Morpheus : You take the blue pill and the story ends. You wake in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. (a red pill is shown in his other hand) You take the red pill and you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes. (Long pause; Neo begins to reach for the red pill) Remember -- all I am offering is the truth, nothing more. -

Just seen it a few nights ago, It was a hit here too. I liked the news reports on the TV in the back ground about the civil war and unrest going on the US at the same time they were having havoc in the UK.

I couldn't pass a topic on V for Vendetta! I have to agree that the Matrix is much more like the feeling of leaving a dream and finding reality, A reality that at first takes a lot of getting used to and is harder work, but ultimately more rewarding. This parallels the experience of leaving the witnesses
