RE: This hall was in a bad part of town and after that the doors were locked five minutes before the start of every meeting and you could not go outside for any reason during the meeting! I know this may be a little off topic.. but they locked the doors after our meetings started starting a few years back and isn't that illegal???? I thought locking the doors on a public place is against fire codes.. How do the Congregations get away with locking the doors with hundreds of people inside?
Anyone forcibly removed?

You're right, and jogged my memory a bit. I do believe that if you needed to go out you were escorted by two brothers and three brothers stayed at the door during all meetings guarding it. Eventually they decided it was just not safe having the KH there and sold it did a quick build in a safer part of the city.
Has anyone here been removed from the kingdumb hall by force?
Oh and I do remember the odd person standing up in the meeting and shouting out either questions or comments and the Elder's quickly removing them. It happened from time to time, what can you expect when 'Joe public' is invited to the KH?

I also had a brother try and hit me out in field service- I saw the Witnesses working a street, s-oo I just parked my car and joined the group. As I walked down the sidewalk with them, I tried to jog their memory about, 1914,1925,princes on earth, Beth Sarim, 1975, etc. I even followed them to a couple doors and told the householder to beware of these false prophets! Finally a lifelong elder of about 70 snapped and decided to try and take a swing at me. As he raised his fist I reminded him that "only the meek will inherit the earth- I guess that's not you" -In disgust he gave up and the group of four got in his car and left the territory. I sure wish Danny Haszard could have been with me on that one.
peace,
Moshe
That's pretty hilarious. Funny that he decided to take a swing at you. I guess the angels that protect everybody in field service were on a break.

Never saw anything like this happen - wish it had cos would have livened up the meeting!
Garybuss - that was awful - who did they think they were the sweet cops?!I can imagine my little boy would have been really scared and upset by morons like them.

One time, right in the middle of the public talk, this guy with big glasses barged in through the side entrance, and came walking in, in front of the stage. He stopped, right in front of the audience. He spoke into his cell phone: "Can you hear me now? Good." He proceeded to walk out of the back door. We never saw him again. Weird.

I've seen a LOT of people forcibly put into a Kingdom Hall.
Yes Gary, me too, and a lot of them grew up and stopped going into kingdom halls. How loving of those brothers to allow you to use that vending machine as well!
I remember about 8 or 9 years ago, this guy from one of the local care homes started attending meetings. One Sunday he came in and had an accident before he could get to the bathroom. It was a BIG accident as well - he left a trail all the way down the hall. It was before the meeting was due to start, but there were a lot of people there, and when this sister spotted what he'd done, she shrieked in horror, and everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at her. She was pointing at what this guy had done, and everybody just stood there looking at it for what seemed like ages, then an elder took control, and asked the guy to leave. He didn't want to go, so a couple of other brothers told him a lot more forcibly that he was leaving, and he never came back.
My bf Trev remembers that incident better than me - he was an attendant and, apart from being one of the brothers who removed this guy, he got the job of helping clear up after him.

Okie46, regarding the doors; it would have to be a temporary measure until they replaced them with the proper doors. There are doors that can be locked to the outside but people inside can still get out. Have you ever seen those doors with bars rather than handles that you can quickly exit but people cannot enter? Those are special fire doors. About 5 years ago all the KHs in this area had to put those doors in. We were just about leaving and said that meant the brothers could not lock all the doors and handout the koolaid.

I've always considered being a candidate for this by putting on my best suit ,walking onto the platform and announce that "there is a Pedophile in this congregation but the Elders refuse to notify you brothers or identify him for the benefit of protecting the children!"
Should I?

My daughter and her husband were forcibly removed. This happened sometime in 2005, I think, not all that long ago.
My daughter and her husband are 2 of 5 of us who were disfellowshipped from our small congregation because we believe Jehovah communicates with us personally and because we tried to help some victims of abuse who were being pushed around by the elders. The elders said we were “causing divisions.”
Some time after we were disfellowshipped, Jehovah told my daughter to go to the K. Hall and warn the elders who threw us out that they would die because of their “bloodguilt.” Her husband was to go with her as moral support and to make sure she got a chance to deliver the message.
So, after one of the meetings, she attempted to post the Message on the Information Board at the back of the Hall. She knew, of course, that the elders would be watching and would prevent her from actually posting the Message. Her plan, at that point, was to hand the message to whatever elder accosted her and to announce its contents in a loud voice. As she began doing this, she and her husband were grabbed (yes, physically grabbed) by several of the brothers, including elders, and forcibly removed from the K.Hall.
On the way out, my daughter shouted into the ear of the elder next to her, “JEHOVAH LOVES THIS ORGANIZATION [i.e. the people in it] AND HE SAYS HE’S GOING TO GET RID OF ALL THE ROTTEN, WORTHLESS ELDERS!”
(Later she said, “I don’t know whether anyone else heard me or not.” To which her husband replied, “Are you kidding? Even those back in the restrooms could hear you!”)
She and her husband were forbidden to come into the Hall ever again. If they did, the police would be called, they were told. -

So Scattered sheep there is people out there with enough guts to actually tell TRUTH in a Kingdom Hall.
Sad though that the rank and file just think that people who speak up are nutters but at least some of them may question the way they were manhandled .
