Seriously, how do you keep cool?

I imagine that if I ever get to live in Texas I'd absolutely get a house with a pool. That way, after a long day at work I just jump in and cool off before retiring for the day.

And David, based on what I heard, you may want to make some preparations in the rare event of an energy black out: http://cbs11tv.com/topstories/local_story_228191125.html

You should see it here. Last night on the news they announced that we are having the second-wettest monsoon (summer rainy season) on record to date. A storm several days ago dumped five inches of rain in places in less than 24 hours, flooding the normally-dry Rillito & Santa Cruz Rivers with water up to ten feet deep & rising. The monsoon traditionally runs from around the 4th of July through September & accounts for about 70% of our annual rainfall (in a good year..)

To think that a month or so ago we were pushing 110 degrees consistently & wondering when this drought would ever end...

I don't know how you can handle those temps for so long. I lived there for a few years - and I got depressed waiting for rain at times. I was in the armpit however [Amarillo.]

    Praying for your rain -

Is that a prelude to "I see dead people!"?

It slung it down yesterday and, though today was warm and bright, a sea mist rolled in this evening.

    Stilla:
No, I've been home for a couple of weeks and the trip is starting to feel like a distant memory with everything that's going on on the work front
