How anyone can call the dilution of Scotch with ice "fixing" it is beyond me.

I guess you have to live in Dallas, TX at 105F. I suppose you would also change your mind about warm beer in these parts, too.
If my bud was warm I would ice it down come what bubbles there may.

I can fix that! Just keep the bottle in the freeze. Works very well.

But PLMkrzy, you miss my point - if you kept the water in the freezer as well as the Scotch, what would you have to mix with the Scotch? ICE!!
Otherwise, you would suffer from the dreaded "heat dilution" of the finished product.
