Oh my gosh, Mr. DannyHaszard, where did you get that messed up image?
What are those brontosauri doing in the background? Even the pterodactyls are fleeing from the wanton dino "play."
Is that why my Lord must admonish them with a wave of His hand? His bronto appears to be belting out Kingdom Melodies! And why is He sittin' side saddle all lady-like, carrying a croc like a pussycat? Huh?
If Rod Serling was still writing Twilight Zone episodes, a single pioneer sister would wake up with this freaky image tattooed across her chest with no recollection whatsoever, and report it to the EL-DORS, who would make a complete examination (!), take up stones, and, well, you can guess the rest.
This one's for the fridge gallery. Thank you, Danny.

Were dinosaurs part of a pre-Adamic "paradise"?

Great pictures and great point.
It really blows the sovereignty issue out of the water. The Watchtower claims that all of earth's woes are because of Adamic sin. Though only Eden was a garden the rest of the world was still perfect even if overgrown. Animals did not suffer from illnesses and did not eat each other under Watchtower theology until after Adams sin.
The WTS sovereignty issue and an eternal earthly paradise always bothered me. It does not make any sense that animals supposedly died prior to Adam but humans were not to die.

Let's ask an expert in paleo-archeaology:
Ghetto Girl, were dinosaurs part of a pre-Adamic "paradise"?
"Hell muthaf****in' no!"
Well then, folks, there you have it.

I have done some searches on the WT Library and I can find some articles that mention that animals have always died and will even die in paradise:
Awake 1993 1/22 page 26:
"It was not God’s purpose for animals to live forever. Their limited life span is not due to the sin of Adam and Eve and the subsequent inheritance of sin and death, as is the case with humans."
Awake 1972 7/8 page 5:
"Other creatures,’ as “unreasoning animals,” are not capable of conscious or willful sin against God. Hence their death is simply due to natural processes; the general life-span built into their genetic makeup from the beginning. This will continue to be true even in God’s promised new order by his Son’s righteous kingdom, when death inherited by humans from Adam “will be no more.”"
But I can't find that from the moment that Adam has sinned animals get diseases and eat each other can anyone find that in the WT Library? -

I have found one reference that before Adams sin animals did not eat each other:
Watchtower 1994 2/1 page 31:
"Nonetheless, evidence in the Bible points to Adam and Eve’s having been at peace with all animals. Some of the creatures may have been quite comfortable around humans, even benefiting from the nearness. Others were wild beasts, animals that naturally sought habitat away from humans. (Genesis 1:25, 30; 2:19) Yet, the Bible does not suggest that any of the animals preyed upon other animals or upon humans. Originally, God specifically assigned vegetation as the diet for both animals and humans. (Genesis 1:29, 30; 7:14-16) That did not change until after the Flood, as Genesis 9:2-5 indicates."
But I haven't found a reference that there weren't any diseases, before Adams sin, among animals. -

GBSJG...Its true that the WTS and modern Young Earth Creationists part ways over whether death existed prior to Adam's apple story, but back in the 90's there was an Awake cover article on aging that seemed to briefly endorse the idea that the 'original state of living things was nonaging', quoting some nutter that claimed he had scientific evidence for this in the genetic code.
There are JWs who have attempted to explain the issues by saying that outside Eden animals did eat one another (as another poster said), hence the fossil evidence as well as all the killing in the food web we see today. Problem is they are still attributing to God the cruelty they try to deny.

Thanks for the input, and thanks especially for those references GBSJG.
I wonder though about the disease factor, which is a biggie, in my opinion. This would suggest that God created disease among the animals, at least. I suppose it's wise that the WTS doesn't comment on this issue. In fact I remember reading a QFR answering a question on whether or not the animals were vegetarian before the flood and a lot of the answer was "don't concern yourself with this kind of crap".

Okay, now I know what I should have named this thread..."Did Jehovah create disease?"
Cue in dino disease links, which came before Adam's sin. Should I try over? Probably won't get many hits anyway...
