One of my friends who still is "faithfull" told me he plans to go back to the DC this weekend, to catch a few talks that he missed due to being on bathroom attendant duty. Did any of you know (or were you prone) to go to the same DC or assembly to catch parts you missed? frankly even when I was in If I missed it I did not feel the need to make up a meeting.

In my opinion...
to catch parts you missed = he/she didn't find the potential marriage mate at the first DC...so he/she's heading off to the 2nd hoping the missing parts will be found.

My dad who was always in charge of food service back in the day would do that.

I know people who did this all the time. Usually in search of new "friends". I've known people to go to up to two or three conventions in the same year.

Few of the elders would do that because of missing certain talks.
Usually the ones that went back were still new and zealous, you never saw some of the old timer going back and spending money again just for a talk they missed.
Most of the elders as we well know enjoyed working and having fun with their buddies at DC than sitting and listening to the program in those
cramped, wooden seats.

I did; if I worked in the "kitchen" for one assembly, I'd go to another to attend the sessions. Sometimes I'd get recruited and guilted for not working again! They wanted everything!

I did to meet new friends I always volunteered either in the first aid dept. or the cafeteria. It was cool to make friends and have fun we never listened to the talks as a rule they were quite boring usually telling who and who not to associate with and since I was a kid and later a teenager I was never allowed a worldly friend only those in the truth and then only out in field service or at meetings.

Like Drew, I knew a few who would go more than once, just because they had nothing better to do ,or they enjoyed making new friends.

If I ever did it was to meet/ impress girls. I did do it a couple times. A girl who i really dug was assigned to another convention, so of course i went to it, and mine too.
