That's very sad Gretchen. It's especially so when you have young children in your extended family still in the WTBTS.. It's not meaning that people who are not JWs don't molest children, it's the fact that these children's parents actually BELIEVE that their own children are safe with any JW they might leave them with, especially the higher ups! There seems to lie the greatest threat!

I agree with you Gretchen. With the j-dubs, the organization is put ahead of the individual member, despite the cost. Even if that means turning a blind eye toward the victims,
and in the process of doing so, they protect and provide safe haven for the abuser.
It's just so ridiculous. People would have more respect towards an honest and open religion that allows for prosecution of alleged abusers. It just pisses me off that
keeping up an image is more important than caring for a victim of abuse.
