I never did get the hang of drinking, exactly.
A few years ago I saw Jumping Cow Beer on the menu at a Thai restaurant. I ordered it just for laughs. It was an inoffensive lager.
A couple weeks ago I bought a Soda Club machine, so we've been going crazy with odd flavors of homemade diet soda. Before the machine arrived I websurfed seltzer recipes. I'm thinking of trying mojitos with basil in them. I also ran across a recipe for ginger-ade with basil, somewhere.
On those rare occasions when I do want a spirituous drink, I tend to favor youngish red wines – Valpolicella, Merlot ... haven't tried cabernet for a while. I also like Bushmill's Irish Whiskey on occasion.
