Slimboyfat,
Your use of the words "the girl"..... How condescending is that? Do you think women, including those with a JD in law, are "girls" or that they are less than "men?"
That "girl" was in every major newspaper around the country about her article, was interviewed on Seattle radio station, and was interviewed on the BBC Radio 4, since the major news broke. Non JWs, and most importantly, non-ex JWs became aware of the problems in the blood policy. That "girl's" paper prompted Bethel to decline comment to each of those interviews. That "girl's" paper prompted the August 2006 Awake! magazine to finally admit officially that hemoglobin was accepted. That "girl" has Bethel's attention.
The wheels of justice grind slowly, but surely. It took a few years for the first JW sexual assault cases to present themselves, and we are finally seeing headway with the California cases. Like a steam locamotive, the blood issue will pick up steam.
What's new in that article? It's the first time legal concepts were applied to the JW blood literature. It's the first time someone pulled apart the blood brochure to show it as a lie, quote by quote. It's the first time that this information was put in a medium that would reach non-JWs who could use it in a legal situation.
Think about it.
