So this is an update to any of those who may be wondering (I got a couple of emails so i thought it would be good to just make a post)

Anyway, since I last posted back in may.

My friend and her sister have both moved out of the house.

The father is awaiting a trial and he has been disfellowshipped. Apparently, both I and their mother called the police and the father lost custody. He's not even allowed to see them with or without surveillance.

I told her about two weeks ago that i was going to fade/dissassociate myself, so she's "shunning" me right now. Its ok though, she needs alot of time to figure this stuff out.

Just thought i'd give one last update.

Thank you Dune, I've been wondering about this.
It's very good that he isn't allowed to see the girls and even better that the mom called the police herself. I hope that all involved get counselling and heal.

Hang on - was it just normal porn this man was viewing? I can only assume it was pedophile porn because otherwise there is no reason why he should be denied access to his kids... sorry if I have misunderstood - didnt have time to read the whole attached thread- could someone clarify?

He was apparently molesting the younger daughter, Crumpet. This came to light after the elder daughter discovered that he was watching-porn. Very sad.

Glad to hear that he has been dealt with and that the police were involved. Good for you, Dune. I know her mom reported him too, but you overcame your fears and did the right thing.

For those asking...this is from Dune's other thread:

So just to sum it up a bit, this girl caught her dad watching porn, told me about it and then talk about ways to get him to stop watching it. Apparently she never told the elders and apparently he stopped watching porn.
This morning she calls me up and tells me that her dad sexually molested her 14 year old sister a few months ago and was doing it continually. Her sister told her last night and this morning she called the elders on him.
This is crazy because he is a MInisterial Servant and up until this point, i seriously ignored/discredited all of the pedophile stories i've read on JWD and on Silent Lambs.

Sorry, i probably should have re-explained the whole situation instead of giving those links.

In the beginning of may, a JW friend of mine told me that she found out that her Ministerial Servant father was watching porn, and she wanted me to suggest ways in which she could stop him (before she would have to send him to the elders) i gave her suggestions and that ended that.

By the end of may, she came to me again and told me that she caught her father watching porn again AND her father was molesting her younger teenaged sister. We had an argument and i had to call the police on her father.

This brings us to august, they've both moved out, her father is dissfellowshipped and is awaiting trial. She stopped talking to me two weeks ago because i'm going to DA myself..eventually.

Her mom called the police too, and i'm pretty sure that her mom's voice carried more weight than an anonymous tip, so i know she cant blame me for that.

She just feels that i was "con"-ing her because i was one of her "pillars of emotional support" and then i told her i was going to dissassociate myself, so that brought up this whole thing about how her dad and I were both screwing up any chance of her having a family in the future. O well, as i said before, i'm just giving her time, if she wants to talk again, fine, she doesnt, fine.
