Invite your JW relatives to your 'worldly' wedding

When I married 5 years ago I didn't even bother to invite my JW mother. Come to think of it I don't even think I told her I was getting married. She couldn't be bothered to come to the weddings of my daughters because I would be there. She has nothing to do with my life now. Even though we married in a garden I saw no reason to deal with her or the JW crap.

On the other hand my ex-husband-still a JW walked both his daughters down the aisle in a Catholic Church. After discussing this with the elders he said he was "just making a delivery." No different than a baker delivering bread

My parents didn't go to my wedding last year because they did not agree with my lifestyle (living with my husband before marriage). I had people say "well, you are making it legal -- they should be happy". Nope. In some cases it doesn't matter where you get married. My parents will make in to paradise now FOR SURE because they didn't attend my wedding. (sarcasm intended)

Reaaaally, so if it would dishonor Jehovah that they would set foot in church what about Jesus when he went into a pharisees house and had dinner with him? Or hang out with tax collectors and prostitues?????? Was that dishonoring Jehovah also? What about when Paul toured the pagan temples in Athens? They were pagan for goodness sake!
