I am hardcore Lutheran (conservative wing, not liberal).

No one understands the universe and why we are here, especially ME.

When I die in a few years it will all be over, my life will be just like it was before I was born. I hope I can enjoy the years left.

I am very much against organised religion of any denomination although fully respect other peoples need to believe something.

For me I believe in doing no harm....living life to the full...and being the very best that I can be in every aspect of my life.

I believe in God, i no longer have a NEED or belief in Organized religion, it was part of my 'growth' and journey away from the WBT Society, somethin' had to fill my gap then and i went to Church.

I keep an open mind on this matter - but so far, since breaking with the dubs 12 years ago, I have been non-religious.

A horrible thing that leaving the WTS does to a person is that it leaves a void and we are almost programmed to believe that that void is both real and further that it needs to be filled. The void in my view is artificial and that as such we dont need an organised religion to be part of our lives. I didnt attend any church when I left but I know plenty that did...I began a process of breaking down and analysing my beliefs and stripping them down to bare essentials and those that can be verified by fact. Blind faith was never my strong point...much to pragmatic I think. DB74

I knew someone would have to say something....it might as well had been you Ian lol.

The fish went back into the water and lives another day...on the other side of that Carp it had some damage to its fins due to excessive spawning (fishy version of rough sex) and I carry antiseptic gel specifically for damaged fish; so you could say it went back into the water better than it did when it came out!

I get the irony though Ian...lol

The Universal Church Triumphant of the
    Apathetic Agnostic in Pennsylvania

    1. The existence of a Supreme Being is unknown and unknowable.

To believe in the existence of a god is an act of faith. To believe in the nonexistence of a god is likewise an act of faith. There is no evidence that there is a Supreme Being nor is there evidence there is not a Supreme Being. Faith is not knowledge. We can only state with assurance that we do not know.

    2. If there is a Supreme Being, then that being appears to act as if apathetic to events in our universe.

All events in our Universe, including its creation, can be explained with or without the existence of a Supreme Being. Thus, if there is indeed a God, then that god has had no more impact than no god at all. To all appearances, any purported Supreme Being is indifferent to our Universe and to its inhabitants.

    3. We are apathetic to the existence or nonexistence of a Supreme Being.

If there is a God, and that God does not appear to care, then there is no reason to concern ourselves with whether or not a Supreme Being exists, nor should we have any interest in satisfying the purported needs of that Supreme Being.

I applaud your concern over the wild fish - but I'm worried about the plight of the tropical fish in Forts! You've asked after them so long I'm afraid they might get curried! LOL!!
