MrsMcDucket - I am so sorry for your health and work ills. Been there - but with Chronic Fatigue/FibroMyalgia. I got FMLA "canned" too. Ultimately I ended up filing for, and eventually winning Social Security Disability. I'd suggest filing for SSI and SSD as soon as you have a full diagnosis and treatment plan, if you don't already have mid- or long-term disability insurance - some employers carry it or at least offer it.

So, do we add you to our Tuesday night Vigils?

(((((((((MsMcDuck)))))))!!!! Well, cher......no matter what you decide, I DO know that iron doesn't always help and found that folic acid can do the job better, as well as give energy.

I hope you find out something realistic that you can deal with successfully on all fronts, sweetie!

Well, I'm not sure what I'm going to do just yet; but I'll let you know when I think of something. I really don't know how serious it is, at this point.

So sorry to hear you're going through this, Ms. McDucket. I'm sure you're doing your homework on this issue; I think there are probably support groups you can visit online and in your hometown to help you cope; although we are here for you as best an online community can be; wish I could bring you some soup and flowers and help you out...sounds awful for you. I am so sorry that you are having to deal with such a stressful thing. best wishes and nurturing to you.

What kind of myelodysplasia do you have, MsMcD? Have they told you? There is more than one way that your blood can be abnormal and treatment depends on differentiating between the different types of myelodysplastic syndrome. I'd insist on seeing a copy of the blood work report asap.

    Hugs,

    Brenda

You're very brave to let them do a bone marrow extraction on you even once. My friend had one when were kids. She ended up dying from leukemia when she was 12. She said it really hurt. Years later they wanted to do one on me for a reason I didn't think good enough. I wouldn't let them.

I hope you feel better and have more energy somehow. I know how it feels to be chronically fatigued. It makes it hard just to get out of bed and get dressed. Please keep us updated.

Can you file for unemployment and/or disability? I'd speak to someone in human resources about it.
