I love it too. Did you see it on PBS recently? The singers just stood on the stage with the orchestra and sang the songs and did the lines. Reba McEntire was Nelly Forbush.

Yes, Mulan, that song always made me think of the WTS approach to non-JWs and how they could be so cold to wish for the permanent end of the wicked, 6 billion people. JWs are carefully taught at every meeting to hate.

So true. I had a cousin DF'ed in 1981 and had to shun her. It wasn't as difficult for me as I lived 2100 miles from her. There were a few occasions where she and I would be at the same family function and I shunned her. I felt subhuman for my actions. This was an entirly learned response, very unnatural. When I DA'ed myself two years ago the first thing I did was apologize to her and begged her forgiveness. To my great amazement she hugged me and kissed me and said all was forgiven. I realized how I was taught to hate those many years.
