Interestingly enough, the homepage of www.watchtower.org has the gall post a link ripping the Trinity because, if true, "it should be clearly and consistently presented in the Bible."

Guess they don't like anyone infringing on their rights to create.

Hi Anomalous One, and welcome to the forum

I don't disagree with the wts there, though I don't believe the bible anyway.

However, if the trinity should be clearly and consistently presented in the bible, then so should the prohibition on blood, the smoking rule and shunning, to name but a few jw doctrines that have no scriptural basis.

It seems that if they believe it, it's there, and if they don't believe it , it's not clearly presented.

If celebrating birthdays was condemned that would be clear throughout the Bible.

If women wearing women's trousers were condemned, that would be clear. Don't give me the 'men's garb' argument because they allow men to wear kilts.

If Christmas was condemned it would say don't celebrate Christmas....don't give me it wasn't invented as such then, cause I really don't care.

If you were meant to go to five boring meetings a week, the Bible would say so.

If you were meant to get ten hours selling WTBTS crap, it would say so somewhere.

The whole damned religion is a pile of stinking cow manure, festering, maggoty and revolting!

    Ive come to the following conclusion;

    1) The bible has been tampered with by idiot men.
    2) The JW'S are blind to everything everyone says except the FDSC
    3) We wont understand many things from the bible which are beyond our feeble minds
    4) As Jesus said - we will be saved by Faith and Grace, nothing else.
    5) If the JW'S had the true faith , they wouldnt have changed so many verses of the bible to support their doctrines.
    6) The trinity things doesnt matter in the slightest, and men arguing over such things is exactly what the bible says not to get involved in "be not ye led hither and thither by the doctrines of men"
    7) people either believe or don't - ramming our own personal so called truth down people throats especially by knocking on their doors at unearthly hours on Sunday morning , is definatley no showing love or understanding.

    God bless you -Ade

The JWs do believe in a FORM of Trinity. Instead of the Catholic, Jesus, God and the Holy Ghost, the JWs believe in Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit. The JWs will tell you that God's Holy Spirit is not a person but a force. If this were true it wouldn't be called a spirit. In reality their entire view of this is all wrong. The word Holy Spirit does not appear in the Hebrew Scriptures in Hebrew at all. It is the result of poor translation in the Greek Scriptures. Think about it, why does God need a Holy Spirit when he IS a spirit already?

ummm. no Its not a mistranslated concept. Jesus introduced the Spirit as somebody new: John 14:16"And I will pray the father and he will give you another helper that he may abide with you forevere, the spirit of truth, whom the word cannot receive because it neither sees hin nor knows him...."John 14:26 "but the helper, the holy Spirit, whom the father will send in my name, he will teach you all things...."

helper : paraklitos, in the greek
