Welcome, betterdaze- glad to see you here. I have never read any article in WT publications about mass extinction events past or future occurances.
Meteor/comet impact, mega volcano, magnetic pole reversal, gamma ray burst from a nearby star imploding ( thought to have happened in N-America within the last 20,000 years), massive solar flare, runaway mutant virus, ice age, global nuclear war- well that's 8 - the virus wouldn't harm Earth just humans.
Fear mongering sells big.
It's not for me.

That's a great site !
Well I watched it and it was good - though the number one was too politcal in my mind. Global Warming as the number 1 extinction level event was way too political and I am not saying global warming is false. The scariets one was the super volcano under Yellowstone National Park and also the asteriod that is due to fly very close to the earth in the next 20 years
