  What I see is the WTS is getting desperate and appointing people that never would have been appointed 5 years ago. It looks bad on the BOE's record with the WTS if an elder is deleted only 6 months after their appointment. Makes even them wonder where the holy spirit was.

  Blondie---YOU are correct. It makes the WT. look bad. Especially if he had been involved in doing a "sin" for a long period of time. I've heard of elders resigning because of all the latest info from elder's school......And for the record, I was "injecting" a bit of humor regarding exactly what I told the habitual offender (The Masturbator). I certainly didn't give him double entendres at that time.

  I never heard the term "deleted" before referring to a person. This is computer talk.

  Many elders in my former congregation didn't serve anymore and we never knew why. Many were still young, and the only announcement that was made was, "brother X won't serve as an elder anymore".

  Exacty. When Dave resigned as an elder (on our way out), they announced he was no longer going to serve as an elder, and then they made some really nice comments about his long years of service and the respect he had generated in the circuit. To me, at least, they were making it clear that he had done nothing wrong. Of course, he was a dreaded apostate, but they didn't know that. He told them he needed to give greater attention to the business and to his wife who was obviously having spiritual problems. Hahahhahha.

  What could've happened?? I remember he used to have a "problem" with masturbation. About 6 years ago he was deleted as a MS because he was caught dating a girl that became a publisher but seemed obviously more interested in him than the "good news".

  I feel sorry for this guy, not because he was deleted, but because his personal business is known by all. This happens all the time in congregations, of course. Gossip is alive and well.

  The only missing is the 'intense love' that is an identifying factor of true followers of Jesus - you know, the sort that 'covers over' the weaknesses of others! Let's hope he reflects on that, and dumps this false religion completely.
