    Mary:

While they might initially feel some discomfort when they first read the list, they breath a sigh of relief when they see this because in their minds, it lets them off the hook.

You hit the nail on the head, with that point

Just for the heck of it.......use Jesus as the leader, then go over the list again and see if christians do not fall into the cult catagory here and there.

Can't say that I think they do......Jesus did not set down dozens or hundreds of man made rules........he simplified what his followers were to supposed to do:

(Matthew 22:37-40) " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." All the manmade rules that some "Christians" impose on their fellow man today are just that: man made rules.

I agree, his two laws were the greatest laws a person can follow....but he also said if you didn't follow and believe in him, you had no eternal life since he was the only way to the father. Now then, quit correctin me, or I'll make ya have green warts all over yer butt and people will make of ya.
