Country Girl makes a good point. Somehow the JWs forget who would run the new system. Do they think just because the only people left would be them that the meetings and stupid regulations would go away. If anything, if there was a new system, and the JWs aren't going out in service, they would come up with more required meetings to fill the time. Once they was all perfect, whatever that means, there would be standards of perfect to maintain.

JWs seem to forget that the meetings that they secretly don't like and the service they secretly wish they didn't have to do won't ever stop. Even if the new system was a reality, the Watchtower Society will see to it they are a part of every aspect of the average JW life. It would be worse than the Salem witch hunts of the 1600's, the crusades of the middle ages, and any Islamic fundamentalist group seeking power today.

In fact there is no Biblical proof about the kind of paradise they are imagining since Christians are heaven bound and the so called earth bound class they have produced has no real backing in the Bible even the great crowd are clearly in heaven, not on earth.

This thread just hit home with me.

The only thing that my mother ever said that she was specifically looking forward to in the new system was petting a koala.

Hey Richie, just be careful petting a koala bear when you find one...they have claws and teeth and can be peevish.

I decided long ago, that even if the "new system" were real, if I had to live forever with the people at the KH, it would really be hell on earth.

You have to be carefull with koala bears because when they get nervous they will piss all over you. I think it was Prince Charles found that out on one of his visits here.
