Having heard that Ted Jaracz is being flown out of state to consult a heart specialist, I started wondering what other luxuries the Governing Body of the WTBTS enjoy! Any one any idea how they REALLY live and if their vow of poverty is fake?

They get the same monthly allowance as every other member of the Bethel family; but they do indeed get many perks. They get to travel all over the world, have the best apartments at Bethel, and have excellent health care. But, considering the fact that most of them have been in the "full time work" for upwards of 30 to 40 years, I think that it's a big price to pay. If I had to serve in "full time work" for even 10 years, I would probably wind up shooting myself. Personally, I don't envy any of their lifestyles.

They do not have the worry about have the next check is coming from. Yes they do live a life of ease flying around the world first class and being entertained.

They seem to have a pretty good life. I have never heard of any of them quitting once they are on the gb, apart from Ray Franz, and Leo Greenlees, who were both "persuaded" to go.

They can do a talk (or more than one) at any place in the world and have all expenses paid and be treated like demi-gods - of course they have a privileged lifestyle. Ray Franz alluded to this in Crisis of Conscience

Our congregation 3 years ago paid a foreign bethel branch pres. $2000 to fly in and have the memorial talk.... of course the money was not handed as a check, we wrote a check to a brother in which went to the bank, and handed an envelope with cash.

To this day that person never handed an expense receipt with a breakdown of expenses.... so the $2000k US went???? When pioneer school week hits, people are pushed into voulenteering their homes to be used for the pio's during the week. So did this branch head use a hotel? or did he live with bro's??? I don not know!

Why was Leo Greenlees pursuaded to go? He was at Bethel when I was there seemed harmless.
