I am 32 weeks pregnant and it is 3:30 in the morning and I can;t sleep because no matter what position I am in, either my back hurts or my legs go numb. I have heartburn raging like a wild beast with seven horns upon its head. My fingers look and feel like sausages, my feet are burning up and two sizes bigger than normal and I still have 8 weeks to go. Yes, I feel sorry for myself.

Well, I'd say you're certainly entitled to some self-pity now and then. I don't know how you ladies do it, I would hate to have to go through all of that. So, you have my sympathy.

    ouch, sympathys in order,

when nothing was comfy and everything hurt i found laying in a nice deep warm bath eased the discomforts,

when i went into labour i headed for the bath and stayed there till they dragged me out. a nice deep bath is a good place to be when youre pregnant.

Yes, I agree, the bath is nice. I do spend alot of time in the bath. My husband alsways asks "why are you taking another bath, didn;t you just get out of the bath?" It does make me feel better. Maybe I will head there now..ohhh, he would just LOVE that in the middle of the night.

Yeah! Being pregnant is a bummer!

Good time to send your husband off for a vasectomy!!

With my fourth pregnancy, my husband rushed off to arrange a vasectomy so fast, I didn't see him for dust!!!

I sympathise with you completely. But it could be worse! You could be expecting twins! Now that's NOT nice!

Have you had your blood pressure taken recently? You shouldn't really be this out of shape so early....so go and get checked out.

Yes, my BP is fine. It is my second, and I tell you, I get HUGE!!! I have large children. And this one is so low she makes my back and hips cry out for mercy. Its really the not sleeping that is getting to me. I would love to sleep like my husband does, just snoring the night away, not a care in the world.

Why do you have large babes? Have you been checked out for gestational diabetes? If you have, ask for another test!

When you say 'large baby' how large?

When you say 'carrying low' how low and why?

Did you have complications last time round?

Is baby lying across or do you think she manages to stay in the right position?

My wife looked like a hippo when she was pregnant. I used to affectionately call her my fertile bag of compost as she always seemed to be conceiving (we have four kids).

I sympathise with your plight - but it will soon be over. Then we can all celebrate. Congratulations!

Oh, try and get your feet up as much as you can!

I have been checked, and I am fine. My whole family has large babies. Both my brother and I were nearly 10 lbs. We are a sturdy lot. My husbands side is the same...pretty sturdy (not fat mind you, just tall and healthy). He was a 10 pounder, as was his brother. My daughter was 9 lbs 10 oz. I don' t know why so big. I am 6' and most of my family is pretty tall, his family is tall as well, except him, he is only 5'10". I think I just have the big ones.
