Having a few of the little criters around is fun to watch and relaxing.
We have deer on our property and pheasants and lots of quail along with lots of other birds. My wife was quite the bird feeder enthusiast..
We had about 9 or 10 squirels in our trees until lately. It seems the "west nile virus" is killing them and we live near the river, so there are lots of mosquitoes about.

By the way Baba Yaga I haven't heard the phrase Neat-o since being in my teens In San Diego Calif.
It started I think in the Spanish speaking areas and in time we all were useing it.
That would be around the early 1950's.
